Through a private access road, which is maintained all year round, you reach Swift Mountain Lodge from the village of Valemount. Despite absolute tranquillity you can reach the village even by foot in 15 minutes. There are several shops such as bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, drugstore, bank and several cafes and restaurants.
The log house:
The house is surrounded by a large veranda, with table and lounge couches. Additionally there is a terrace with a fireplace and barbecue beside the house as well as a log sauna and a wood-fired hot tub. Swift Mountain Lodge is completely furnished. In the kitchen you find sufficient dishes, as well as a fridge with freezer, oven and stove. We also provide our guests with bed linen and towels. On the ground floor there is a large living and dining area, in which a wood stove provides a cozy log cabin atmosphere. The room is generously equipped with seating. Additionally infloor heating can be used. The spacious kitchen with a wide access contributes to the open atmosphere. In addition, there is a small bathroom with toilet and sink. In the souterrain you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom with a spacious tub and shower. Washing machine and dryer can also be found in the basement. The upper floor is equipped with two bedrooms, one with a large balcony and stunning view over the valley to the mountains. A beautiful bathroom with shower can also be found upstairs
Valemount is about one hour away from Jasper National Park and about 30 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park. In Valemount there is a first-class mountain bike park with trails in all levels of difficulty. The bike park can be accessed directly from the property. In addition, the area offers excellent hiking trails around and up to the numerous mountains. Rafting, canoeing, hunting and fishing are also popular leisure activities. In winter Valemount is known for heliskiing, snowcatskiing, ski touring, dog sledding and snowmobile tours.
